NYS Geometry is a rigorous course that covers a broad range of topics. Students will be required to have a strong foundation in basic math skills as well as proficiency in Algebra. Emphasized topics include Pythagorean Theorem and it's applications, Constructions (Basic and Advanced), Transformations, Parallel and Perpendicular Lines, Quadrilaterals, Congruency (with Proofs), Similariity (with Proofs), Relationships Between Angles, Trigonometry, Proportions, 2 and 3 Dimensional Measurement, Circles and all of the above as they apply to the Coordinate Plane and in the Real World.
