Degrees and Certifications:

Mrs. Pierce

I am thrilled to be the new 3rd grade math teacher. I have been teaching at Fillmore for 15 years. I began at Fillmore as the elementary self contained 12-1-1 teacher, transitioned to the 5th & 6th grade resource room/consultant teacher, then to 6th grade math teacher and now 3rd grade math. I have a dual certification from St. Bonaventure University in elementary and special education. I have an abundance of strategies to work with struggling learners as well as a great deal of knowledge on math concepts at all grade levels. I look forward to the opportunity to get to know your child and enhance their learning.

I grew up in Belmont, NY and understand the importance of a small school community and value of family. I currently reside in Cuba, NY, with my husband Kirby and our 3 children, Kody, Kelsey and Kadin. We live on a small hobby farm where we raise animals for the 4-H program. My children enjoy raising and showing animals at the Allegany County Fair in Angelica, NY. We raise steers, pigs, lambs, meat chickens, and laying chickens. My children have had the opportunity to have piglets born on our farm yearly. We enjoy traveling and hunting together as a family. My hobbies include gardening, canning, throwing pottery on the wheel, arts & crafts, and watching my kids play sports.

I can be contacted from 2:30 - 4:30pm at (585) 576-2251 or anytime by e-mail at
