- Tests will be based on the chapter(s) recently covered. They will be announced at

       least 3-4 days.

 

Quizzes/ Labs - 30%

 

     - Quizzes will be based on the material recently covered in class. Most quizzes will be

        announced in advance – there may be an occasional open-book “pop” quiz. Labs will

        be conducted in class. Students will be allowed sufficient time to complete lab

        procedures.

Homework – 20%

 

      - Homework will be assigned to re-enforce the lessons the students are being taught.

Participation – 10%

     

      - Participation grade will be based on a students coming to class prepared, degree of

        effort put forth in class, the amount of active involvement in classroom discussion

        and group activities.
