Pre-Calculus

Course Design

  • One of the most pressing goals of this course is to ensure college readiness and preparedness in the mathematics field.  The course is designed to cover a wide range of topics including parent functions and their graphs, polynomial and rational functions, exponential and logarithmic functions, trigonometric functions, systems of equations and inequalities, and matrices.  This course is designed to serve as a pre-requisite to Calculus 1.  As a result, the course will be graded in a way that reflects college course grading.  Homework will be worth 25% of the course average.  Tests and quizzes will make up 50% of the course average.  The final exam will make up the final 25% of the course average.
