Our district-wide safety plan makes reference to various New York State required emergency drills. Every school district is required to practice these emergency drills. Rehearsing these drills is crucial to ensuring success in the event of an unlikely real emergency. On Friday, May 31^st, we will be practicing our off-campus evacuation drill. We anticipate this drill lasting about 30 min. The process of this drill is similar to a fire drill, which all students have practiced several times this year. The difference is that this drill requires all building inhabitants to leave the campus and go somewhere safe. Students and staff will move to an alternate offsite pickup zone. When the drill is over, students and staff will walk back to the building and resume instruction. If you have any questions, feel free to contact the elementary or high school offices.
