Update for 7-12 Students from Mr. Kelley

I just wanted to provide some information for our students 7-12. Please realize that some of this is subject to change. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me at

We are making every effort to continue with our college classes online. This is in line with what almost every college is doing on their campuses. A lot of this falls on you, so make sure you keep in contact with your teachers and communicate with them. You will still be able to earn college credit if you complete the required work.

Teachers of regular classes will be sending home packets to work on. In addition to the packets some have been contacting students with activities and work via email and other ways. These are designed to keep your skills sharp for when we return. Every Fillmore student has a school email address. If you need help logging in, contact Mrs. Hardy at school.

Regents exams are still scheduled to be given in June. There are many Regents prep programs online. Your teachers can provide you with some of these resources.

Seniors: The traditional day for students to commit to colleges has been May 1st, but many colleges are extending these deadlines. Check with your individual college. There are still some scholarships that are available, and many of these scholarships have extended their deadlines. Keep checking your email and the guidance website for updates. If you need a transcript or letter of recommendation, let me know.

Juniors: The May SAT has been cancelled by College Board. If you registered for this date, you can get a refund or change your test date online. The June test at this point is still scheduled to be administered. I have also signed Fillmore up to be a test center in August. The April ACT has been cancelled. The June test date is still on. As far as class scheduling is concerned, I have gotten all of your requests and will use them to build your schedule for next year.

Sophomores: I had met with many of you before the shutdown to come up with a schedule for next year. Those I have not met with I will be contacting in the next few weeks via email. If I do not get a response from you, I will give you a call.

Freshmen and 8th graders: I will be contacting you soon about scheduling. Your options are a little more limited, but you do have some choices you can make.

7th graders: There are not many choices to be made because of required 8th grade classes, but I will be giving  you some information on your schedules for next year.

As always, if you have questions please ask. The best way to contact me right now is by email.
