Title Programs

Fillmore Central School receives federal funding through the Title Grant programs. The following chart outlines current Title grant programs at Fillmore.

Description
Title I, Part A This federal program provides supplemental financial assistance to school districts/schools with a high percentage of children from low-income families, to provide all children a significant opportunity to receive a fair, equitable, high-quality education and to close educational achievement gaps.
Title II, Part A

Under ESSA, the Title II, Part A provides funds to all NYS local education agencies (LEAs) for the purposes of:

  • Increasing student achievement consistent with NYS academic standards.
  • Improving the quality and effectiveness of teachers, principals, and other school leaders.
  • Increasing the number of teachers, principals and other school leaders who are effective in improving student academic achievement in schools.
  • Providing low-income and minority students greater access to effective teachers, principals, and other school leaders.
Title IV, Part A
Title IV, Part A - This federal program provides supplemental funding to help provide students with a well-rounded education, improve school conditions and improve the use of technology. 
Title V, Part B
Title V, Part B - This program provides additional resources to assist rural districts in meeting state definitions for the New York State Accountability System.
